One of the reasons why I joined Calysta is that the definition of a strategic vision is (and has always been) the cornerstone of any decision taken by its professionals, both for clients’ perspectives and Calysta’s perspectives.
Never give any advice to a client without understanding and sharing their strategic business vision. IP will become a strategic asset for a client if and only if the client and its IP advisor are fully aligned on the business vision and the planning to achieve it.
In my private life, I will never take any important decision without having a clear vision to achieve. More importantly, I need to share this vision with my potentially-impacted stakeholders (of importance ;-)) and make sure we are aligned on the vision (but the way to achieve it will remain in my hands).
