Inclusion of these goods and services is necessary to cover the key business of the league, but it\u2019s clear that part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/calysta.eu\/en\/services\/trademarks\/\">trademark<\/a> application is also defensive. The purpose of a defensive trademark registration is to enlarge the scope of protection to goods and services that are different from key activities to easily block identical or similar trademark registrations and use by third parties. Products such as pizza cutters, flaming torches and pet food are not what one expects to be commercialized by \u201cThe Super League\u201d. The application will be examined by the trademark office and afterwards third parties will have the possibility to oppose it based on prior rights.
